Which NFL teams have the best weight rooms? It’s been hard to quantify. Many NFL teams have built new training facilities or modernized their old ones in recent years, and there’s a never-ending arms race to out-class your rivals. However, this year it became easier to come up with a top five, because the NFL Player’s Association issued report cards on the 32 NFL teams based on information provided by 1300 current players.

Among the eight categories ranked from F- to A+ was weight room. In that category, four teams received an A+ from NFL players, and another four ranked A. Only one team received a weight room grade below D, but it was way below! The Arizona Cardinals received an F-. Ouch.

Here’s how we distinguished teams with the same grades to rank the top five NFL weight rooms. Most important, of course, is the weight room score. After that, to break ties, we also tabulated the training room (workout and injury recovery facilities) score and the strength staff score. So what follows are the poll’s four A+’s and four A’s, ranked.

According to NFL players in 2023, these are the best NFL weight rooms.

5. MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Weight Room: A / Training Room: A+ / Strength Staff: A+

The Vikings’ weight room in their TCO Performance Center, which opened in 2018, is not especially huge, at around 6000 square feet, including the second-floor cardio deck (with its view of the sci-fi ceiling). But a big plus is the abundance of natural light streaming through the huge glass walls.

When the Cowboys opened The Star, their 91-acre, $1.6 billion headquarters, in 2016, everything was state-of-the-art. Seven years later, it still pretty much is, including the weight room with its large turf area and natural lighting.

2. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS

Weight Room: A+ / Training Room: A / Strength Staff: A+

It’s no coincidence that the two highest rated weight rooms on our list are the two newest. The Raiders opened their Intermountain Healthcare Performance Center in 2021 with its 50,000 square foot “performance center.” Note the silver and black turf right down the middle.
